Description
The Foundation for Research on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (FROST'D) in New York City was funded by CSAT under the Targeted Expansion Program for Substance Abuse Treatment and HIV/AIDS Services to implement an adapted assertive community treatment team, the FROST'D Assertive Community Treatment Team (FACTT). FACTT targets street-based sex workers, but also works with other high-risk adults in the community. FACTT outreaches to individuals at high risk of HIV/AIDS and substance abuse problems and links them to other needed services. Many of the participants also struggle with homelessness or unstable housing, mental health problems, and the sequelae of traumatic experience or PTSD. Our evaluation assesses the implementation process and outcomes achieved through the project.
