Description
The Health Industry Forum is a new research initiative committed to engaging leaders across the healthcare community in constructive dialogue and action through cutting edge research on improving the quality and value of health care services. The Forum combines a mission for independent research with a commitment to evaluate key business and policy issues facing our members. Our core members include health plans, health systems, pharmaceutical firms, employers, and academic medical centers. The Forum administers an annual research fund of $3 to $5 million. It develops and refines research topics through an ongoing dialog with members and interactive conferences focused on innovations in health care financing, organization, and delivery. Principal activities of the Forum include: convening public officials, industry leaders and policy research experts to discuss strategies to promote value-driven healthcare; sponsoring primary and secondary research to inform innovation in health policy and management; and disseminating findings through professional journals, conferences, and print, broadcast, and electronic media.
