| Description The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the impact of having private long-term care insurance on the probability of receiving care at home versus in a facility and the impact of insurance on the amount of formal and informal services used by elders with disabilities. To prepare the data for these analysis, we will link the data from the National Claimant Survey on individuals who have long term care policies covering both nursing home and home health care services to data on similarly disabled non-insured community and facility residents in the general population from the 1994 National Long-Term Care Survey (NLTCS) sample. | |
