Description
CMS has implemented a demonstration of expanded coverage for chiropractic services in four regions of the country, including urban/rural areas and HPSA/non-HPSA areas. Brandeis is evaluating implementation of this demonstration, examining the effects of chiropractic services on Medicare beneficiaries, and analyzing effects on the utilization of other medical services and on Medicare costs. A major objective is to evaluate budget neutrality of expanded coverage for the Medicare program.
