International Health

International Health Research is the newest and most rapidly growing of the Schneider Institutes' areas of research and policy. Extending the Institute's expertise in the U.S. health sector to developing countries, the international portfolio focuses primarily on health economics and social justice. Institute researchers work on health financing, cost and cost-effectiveness analyses, national health accounts, and responses to two important diseases - dengue fever and AIDS. In social justice, the Institute helps countries develop strategies to assist their most vulnerable populations, such as women and children, respond to AIDS. International health links closely with The Heller School's educational mission, as Schneider Institutes faculty play major roles in designing, managing and teaching in the M.S. Program in International Health Policy and Management.
