About Us

The Institute for Global Health and Development (IGHD) is one of the three Schneider Institutes housed within the Heller School for Social Policy and Management.  Together, IGHD and the Programs in Sustainable International Development have over 25 core faculty, staff and PhD students who contribute in fields such as international health, finance, labor economics, evaluation research, health policy, agriculture, international relations, comparative government, and human rights, to name a few.  We do direct government advising, policy-relevant research and evaluation, and advocacy to impact policy making in partnership with like minded institutions in the U.S., the international community and the developing world.  At any given time, we are actively involved with over a dozen sponsored international health and development projects in addition to the Masters and PhD programs.
